Company Milestones

2003:

  • Chowking from the Jollibee Group of Companies signs on for Chowking Radio, the first professional instore radio station in the Philippines.

2004 and 2005:

  • The first radio station for malls and supermarkets in the Philippines, Walter Mart Radio is launched for all Walter Mart Community Malls and Supermarkets.
  • Robinsons Radio becomes operational as a first for department store chains and airs in all Robinsons departments stores across the Philippines.
  • A second Jollibee company gets its own radio station, Greenwich Radio which airs throughout the Greenwich fastfood pizza chain.
  • Chevron Philippines Inc. rolls out Caltex Music Station to their company controlled gas stations.  It is the first of its kind in the world.

2006:

  • audioWAV expands its services to include Events Management with the successful execution of the first Chowking Grand Fireworks and Free Concerts – 6 simultaneous 5-hour concerts in separate provincial locations in the Philippines.
  • The first radio station for convenience stores in the Philippines is launched, 7-Eleven Radio.
  • audioWAV expands into the mass transport industry with the initial tests and pilot of MRT Radio.
  • Wilcon Depot and Supply decides to maximize its airspace with Wilcon Depot Radio.
  • Legend Villas Rhythms goes on air with traditional Filipino music at Legend Villas Resort.
  • Instore radio reaches companies based in Philippines provinces.  Chantilly Rhythms starts airing in the Chantilly restaurant in Dumaguete City.
  • The Subic Bay Free Port and Industrial Zone in Olongapo City Philippines hosts the first hotel and casino radio station, Legenda Rhythms at the Legenda Hotel and Casino.

2007:

  • The second Chowking Grand Fireworks and Free Concerts are successfully held in 5 Philippine provinces.
  • A third Jollibee Company gets its own radio station, Red Ribbon Radio.  The new station airs in all Red Ribbon bakeshops in the Philippines.
  • audioWAV instore radio services expand to companies based in Cebu City, Philippines.  Marco Polo Radio is launched in Marco Polo Hotel, Cebu.
  • Bacolod Adventist Medical Center in Bacolod, Philippines becomes the first hospital with its own radio station.
  • Instore radio goes on pilot at Circles Restaurant in Shangri-La Hotel Makati in Metro Manila Philippines.
  • A second instore radio station goes up in Bacolod City, Philippines, Bob’s Radio for Bob’s Restaurant.
  • Jollibee launches its groundbreaking Manong Pepe’s fastfood chain – a small karinderia style eatery with a novel OPM radio station.
  • MRT Radio is officially launched as the 1st Mass Transit Instore Radio.
  • audioWAV exhibits its new laser lights equipment with a grand Laser Show at the 20th Philippine Ad Congress in the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Olongapo, Philippines.
  • Major public wet markets across the country receive Radyo Pinoy, a mass-based instore radio station with upbeat music and news and entertainment segments.
  • Strategic access to the Asia-Pacific region is achieved with audioWAV’s first overseas office, audioWAV Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

2008:

  • audioWAV holds its biggest event, the Chowking Grand Fireworks and Free Concerts – 5 simultaneous 5-hour concerts in 5 separate provincial locations in the Philippines with a combined staff of over 1200 production personnel, artists and security and an audience of almost 150,000 people.
  • Pancake House takes their dining experience to another level with Pancake House Radio.
  • Provincial instore efforts expand further with the launch of LCC Malls Radio in the LCC provincial malls.
  • Robinsons Radio shifts to the cover Robinsons Malls nationwide.
  • Robinsons Movieworld starts using instore radio to entertain moviegoers with Bossa music and friendly greetings and reminders.
  • Slimmers World International and audioWAV begin work on their radio station.
  • Instore Radio in the Jollibee group of companies takes another step forward with Delifrance Radio.
  • Superferry Radio becomes the first instore radio station in the shipping industry and airs in all the Super Ferry ships of the Aboitiz shipping group.
  • Greenwich Radio is relaunched as Greenwich FM.
  • audioWAV’s second Asia-Pacific company, audioWAV Pty. Ltd. opens for business in Australia.

2009:

  • audioWAV reorganizes in preparation for greater local and global demand.  Finance is reinforced and a Chief Financial Officer is appointed.  Two new divisions, Media and Instore Radio Specialists or IRS are formed.
  • audioWAV’s Public Address Division is released to become a new company, AW PA Technology Inc. and moves to the progressive Subic Bay Free Port and Industrial Zone in Olongapo, Philippines.
  • Another supermarket chain contracts their own radio station, Ever Supermarket Radio for Ever Supermarkets.
  • The Pancake House Group expands their instore radio stations to the Teriyaki Boy and Sizzling Pepper Steak restaurant chains
  • Binalot Fiesta Foods Inc. launches their Binalot Radio for their fastfood chains.
  • audioWAV starts work with a visionary six-star hotel client, Maxim Hotel and Casino.
  • The Expressions group calls in audioWAV to develop and launch a radio station for their Mart One Department Stores.
  • San Pablo Colleges Medical Center starts to use music to improve services, moral and increase the rate of healing.
  • Another medical institution, Healthway Medical initiates Healthway Radio, a custom radio station for their chain of clinics.
  • audiowav launches its latest service and technology, WAV SCENTS in The Manila Hotel and Maxim Hotel and Casino.  Custom scents and large volume diffuser systems elevate the experience of their guests.
  • audioWAV becomes a global company by crossing the Pacific and opening audioWAV Corp. in the USA.
  • Mediaquest, a subsidiary of Smart Communications, partners with audioWAV to apply its instore radio experience to the Nation Broadcasting Network, a traditional FM Radio network owned by Mediaquest.  The provincial stations are repackaged and launched as WAV Radio with global radio station imaging and programs.
