Broadcast Music Incorporated or BMI represents songwriters, composers, and music publishers and collects royalties on their behalf from various users of their videos and music.
Wav group CEO Carlos Hinolan and regional General Managers Roger Collins and Ben Crawford met with BMI’s Senior Director for General Licensing, Teresa A. Stafford-Scherer, discussing licensing arrangements with BMI for public performance licensing in the United States. The team was given a tour of the impressive BMI head office facility, after which they were able to experience firsthand the famous musical culture of the city and some Southern hospitality.
“Combining BMI’s catalogue of over 6.5 million songs and 400 000 songwriters with the growing global WAV in store radio and high traffic venue portfolio is a great arrangement for both parties”, said GM Roger Collins. “We share common goals of providing quality music to our clients and supporting songwriters of all types by licensing their music and exposing them to a wider audience in all types of environments”.
